3 Interior Designers Transform The Same Kitchen | Space Savers | Architectural Digest

We gave interior designers Noz Nozawa, Darren Jett, and Joy Moyler a photo of the same kitchen – then asked each of them to create a design for it in their particular style, however they pleased. Three artists, one canvas, each bringing something different to space. Watch and see which designer checks the most boxes on your dream kitchen wishlist.

  1. Darren's design kind of looks like a classical painting, really theatrical and romantic. Noz one reminds me of a colourful toy house and Joy's design looks really functional, universal and modern

  2. I'm hooked on Darren's design. Very fitting for a loft type apartment. But I'd change the cabinet under the window with a more dark greyish solid color. And more greenery by the window

  3. No actually I don’t want to live in a Harry Potter world no thank you. Pink kitchen nope! Joy you’re my vibe!

  4. Darren is really talented. I would love to collaborate with him on my home someday! His layouts are just so sexy and refined.

  5. I would go for Darren's kitchen for layout and for the windows. I love the drop height tableisland. Minus the lighting and the darkness of the room. This is a clear winner for me.
The only thing I liked in the "colour" kitchen is the blue light fixture.

  6. I love this series ❤️ personally, I like Darrens design the best, because he thinks the most out of the box. And though his designs are unconventional they never really feel over the top, but still elegant and expensive.

  7. Here is my quick fix as a non professional for this kitchen: 'Hide' the fridge in the cabinets, use a top stove, integrate the oven in the cabinets and paint them a colour you like.

  8. I like different elements of each design. The windows from Darren, the color palette from Noz and flooring from Joy. I love watching these extremely different viewpoints from the designers.

  9. I don’t understand how joy gets work. I’ve seen her vids here and everytime the choices she makes are confusing and basic.

  10. I feel bad for Darren and Noz having to pretend to like joys hideous lifeless designs – no hate 🤞🏻

  11. Darren usually is too out there for me but damn if this wasn't amazing. I will say even when he's not my taste, he's never boring. Loved everyone's designs!

  12. ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ ⸻⸻ says:

    YES I LOVE THIS SERIES

  13. That one with the Lapis Lazuli 'Isand' is a total mess.
    It's like pre-schooler played with a Toys-R-Us doll's house configurator.

  14. I love these videos. I want Darren to make his own YouTube channel. And I want all these designers to have a Q&A Lol

  15. Aesthetically, I like Darren's the best, but would probably choose Joy's. Noz's is bonkers; enough said. (White fabric on a kitchen chair is a non-starter for me, with or without Scotch Guard.) All three took out a lot of storage, though, it seemed to me. Having moved to a new kitchen myself recently, storage is SO important. I found it interesting that all three eschewed the microwave.

  16. I'm confused by Joy's decision to shorten the length of the wall cabinets and counter top along the window wall for no apparent reason, so you end up with one tiny countertop next to the sink and the sink is right up against the stove on the other side. She said she emphasizes function, but she has eliminated most of the storage in favor of a wall of refrigerators/freezers. Just kind of odd and somewhat bland.

Also notable that Noz is the one who commented on not wanting a "chaotic" look — then that design???

  17. i loooove darren's designs! he is my fave cause i love escapism and his designs are so otherworldly nd weird and quirky…Noz as well but she always sorta manages to reign in her weird and quirkyness loool nd infuse it with alot of bubbly pastel colours. joyce on the otherhand, that woman is a master of geometric hard shapes, which is a very difficult style to dabble in cause one tinny tiny wrong mistake in colour or material or anything else your design immediately looks tawdry, archaic and unbalanced in the most distasteful way possible lool. These three are amazing!

  18. Once again, Joy is the only one who comes close. Those other two will look dated before you finish watching the video.

  19. Hearing Joy explain the reason behind everything just makes you go "huh, that makes sense"
