4 Levels of Ice Cream Sandwich: Amateur to Food Scientist | Epicurious

We challenged chefs of three different skill levels – amateur Scotty, home cook Anthony, and professional chef Frank Proto – to make us their best ice cream sandwich. Once each level of ice cream artist had presented and tasted their creation, expert food scientist Rose popped in to explain the choices each made along the way to add some context to the results. We know there are really no wrong answers here but – which one looks best?

  2. I think I'd like Anthony's ice cream sandwiches best, but I'd rather eat them hanging out with Scotty – he seems like the most fun!

  3. I really thought Scotty was gonna pull out a tub of ice cream a two cookies and just put them together

  4. My friends mom used to put ice cream between two rice crispy squares (like would make two whole pans of rice crispies and then layer ice cream between them. We skipped school once when she wasn't supposed to be home, but was, . .. and she just gave us these ice cream bars and told us not to be home when her husband got home. .. .

  5. I LOVE that Food Scientist lady!!!! Does she have her own channel / blog??? The way she breaks down everything is simply incredible!!

  6. I feel like there is something wrong with calling the food scientist a "level 4 chef" when they could not cook better than the "level 3 chef" or often even usually the "level 2 chefs".
