We challenged chefs of three different skill levels – amateur Emily, home cook Julie, and professional chef Joe Pace from the Institute of Culinary Education – to whip us up a fresh batch of potato salad. After each of them had presented their creation, we asked food scientist Rose to review their work. Which dish looks most delish?

Level 3 chefs always just making a different dish
Watching Julie makes me confident I may be a level 2 chef I’m no Gordon Ramsay but im also no “use everything canned and boxed and Jarred (nothing wrong with it) but what she says/does I do the same! I love food and I take time with 95% of my ingredients!
You lost me at Brussel sprouts, devils turds
I appreciate their effort, but I found this video confusing.
Haha the Brooklyn 99 reference: cool cool cool cool. ????
absolute dogshit
my mom after eating my potato salad
ameteur emily makes spud salad just like me, yum. chef is very pretensious, and home cook julie wants to be pretensious
I don’t know what the other two made… but the only potato salad I see is the level one…
I wanna know what the hell was the level 3 dude making? 'Cuz this ain't a potato salad. Yes, I know – everyone has their own recipe but holy hell, that looks disguisting.
The pro chef did too much for something too simple, like you have to come up with a reason why you got a degree in food
level 3 is when you eat it you wish you had level 2
So non of these managed to make a potato salad, congratulations!
I think im the only one that likes potato egg salad mad simple…i mean potatoes…eggs…mayo…salt ????♀️
If ya don’t put pickles in my tater salad… ima get one outa the fridge to put on the side.
I like this series but…how do three recipes add up to "4 levels"? Makes no sense. Also…it would 1000x better if all three recipes were sampled by the three chefs for taste comparison. Missed opportunity. Every time, each of the chefs likes their own cooking and learns nothing.
level 1 PERIOD….the others yuck
i haven't watched this vid yet but i hope Emily puts ketchup in the potato salad instead of mayo ????
Huh, whot? The chef grated the eggs? Like, what? Why? ???? Just cut it ????????♂️
I absolutely loved the level 1 cook, I think the expert confused potatoes with ginger ????
I'd omit the apple in the level 3 version. I hate fruit in what should be a savory dish.
Julie i freaking love you
3:43. "We're going to let these babies boil to 430 …" Geez, I just heard salt increased the boiling temperature, but I didn't know it was THAT much.
Julie is so sweet.
"It's better to start in cold water so everything cooks at the same time"
Um, what?
