50 shades of grey – Chalk paint Quick fix!

Den här metoden har gått förbi allt annat just nu och blivit min favorit. Jag är en periodare så jag kommer nog snart ha en annan favorit igen, haha!

Men med den s k Quick-fix:en kan man verkligen enkelt skapa mycket dimension och effekt på nolltid.

Till den här dörren använde jag mig av Autentico chalk paint Versante, kulören heter Gris, en väldigt ljust grå färg. Jag mixade färgen med tre olika vaxer (alla tre från Autentico); svart, vitt och transparent.

This method has overtaken everything else right now, and has become my favorite. I will probably soon have another favorite again, haha!

But with the so-called Quick fix method one can really easily create a gorgeous dimension, depth and power in a piece in no time.

For this door I used Autentico chalk paint versante , color Gris, a very light gray. I mixed the paint with three different waxes (all three from Autentico); black, white and transparent.

  4. Lina, I am trying to make my vintage kitchen cabinets looked like distressed metal cabinets. I have painted the "grooved" areas with a dark chalk paint, now I am going to go over it with a color called White Heron adding plaster of paris to make my own chalk paint. I want to add the wax into the paint like you did in this project, but am not sure the ratio of wax to paint. Any suggestions?

  11. This door has serious structural problems, it has broad gaps between all major joints. Those defects should be repaired. If you install this door as a front door, water will seep in and the wood will rot, finally it will collapse.

  14. You are my favorite painter !!! One question, did you use the same paint brush during the whole process or did you use a separate paint brush for each wax?  Love how this turned out. BRAVO !!

  21. Hi Lina – what ratio do you mix the paint and wax together? What Annie Sloan paint and waxes would you recommend instead of the Autentico?
