  1. Being genuinely interested. Being a good listener. Asking relevant questions. Being yourself. Your words should have substance. A smile. And admit when you don't know. Non judgmental and when you don't agree on an issue – DON'T say that – instead ask how they came to that decision. No ego. No useless small talk. Asking how you can help – most times they want someone to listen.
