$70 vs $2,300 Welder? Let's Settle This! Weld Strength, Duty Cycle, Current Output, Build Quality

Let’s see if a $70 welder can outperform the more expensive rivals. It does indeed claim to deliver 200 amps of current, which is more than the $2,300 Lincoln welder. A big thanks to Joe for helping me test the welders for weld quality, penetration, current output and accuracy, ability to weld on rusty metal, and duty cycle.

  2. There's a sweet spot for multi-process welders between the Titanium & Lincoln: however, gasless and scratch-start TIG aren't worth it, for the results you get.

  5. Would be interesting to see how the Lincoln performs vs. the Fronius Transsteel 2200 which has the same setup and price tag

  6. How many amps does each draw on the 120VAC circuit to the house panel ? ( typically 1phase 15amp or 20amp dedicated circuit 80% NEC CODE )
    240VAC 1phase ( typical dryer outlet 30amp circuit 80% NEC CODE )

  12. I have the titanium 125 welder and for my first welder it does fantastic. If you buy one change the ground clamp to the better one that harbor freight sells.

  22. This is great. I’m very interested to see what you think about multi process welders. If possible I’d like to see the two better options from HF. Would like to see a real comparison i can trust between them and compared to other brands.
