  1. Cleaning toilet and organizing shoes are part of my life growing up. I am glad to know these are a normal habit for Japanese. Thank you.

  2. I think i was japanese in my incarnation before…because i do most of that. And the spirit is absolutely mine! I'm going to clean my toilet now. ????
    Thank you. Be blessed ????????

  3. Aki-san! your videos every single one are beautifully shot, meaningful and fun! Thank you for continuing to make videos! I love seeing scenes of your life and also beautiful Japanese nature 🙂

  4. Sounds like superstition, although who wants a dirty toilet lol. I believe taking out my rubbish before leaving for work, also helps 'clear my mind' I always leave the toilet clean, before I sleep, or leave for work, in case I die. Don't want the last impression people have of me is dirty bin/toilet. Anyway 'Godliness is near to cleanliness?!'

  5. Wait … there are people out there, who never cleans their toilet?! Okay, that's gross! 😀

  6. Thanks for this! I did pause the video, and cleaned the toilet to within a inch of its life ! ????

  7. Thank you for the interesting video. Somehow I think in Finland there is many similar habits, even thou there is not those deeper meanings of doing things. I'm lazy cleaner but I clean my toilet regural, but not every day. I think it is just practical, it is easy the most dirty place in the house. Many people have clean and beautiful apartment, and then you go to their toilet and looks like they forget to clean it. ???? Taking shoes off when going in the house is common habit in Finland too, but I think in many countries they dont do that. And those words when meeting someone, is little similar like "Moi! Mitä kuuluu?" -Ihan hyvää. (Something like hello! What's up? -quite good) But It is just polite small talk, and way not to have talk too long. Finns don't like small talk so much. ????

  8. I love your videos. Thanks to you, I have started drinking matcha in the morning instead of coffee and I feel much more energy and I feel refreshed. I’m also trying to declutter my bathroom and toiletries but it’s not easy because I am emotionally attached to some of those objects. Thank you. ????

  9. Thanks for the video. I always wake up early and really enjoy it. You are not disturbed by other people, since they are all sleeping. You can't disturb yourself with going to some place since they are all closed. You can focus on yourself and everything is quiet.

  10. I was raised and l live with these habits. I don't even notice their benefits except remember my mom's nagging when I missed one. ????

  11. Australia here. Small gradual changes I have made considerable progress in the last few years! So good to have more cleanliness, more manners, the list goes on. It has certainly changed my life, just yet to see what comes along that I need next ????

  12. Great visuals, I feel grateful watching this video that you went to a lot of trouble to make. O kage sama de!

  13. I have been putting off cleaning for a while now. In fact I was thinking of getting up and cleaning but thought I would watch this video instead. Now, I don't have any excuse so I will get it done. Thanks for the motivation ????

  14. This is great! I do a lot of this myself already. Need to step up the toilet cleaning from weekly to daily however ????

  15. Excellent stuff! I just discovered this channel and subbed right away. I have always been fond of Japanese language, customs and minimalism, and some of these habits I practice them regularly, including toilet cleaning and leaving the shoes outside. I wake up at 3 am., then I immediately take a cold shower and I drink a glass of ginger/lemon juice. Then comes calisthenics and yoga for some 90 minutes, then meditation and Buddhist prayers, and finally the breakfast: a cup of green tea, a banana, and a bowl of overnight grounded oatmeal porridge with seeds, nuts and some more ingredients like goji berries etc.

  16. Thank you so much for your videos, Aki! They always put a smile on my face and give me new ways to consider how I can improve my life/become a better person. All the best from the US!

  17. Thank you especially for the detailed explanations of itadakimasu and okage sama de!! Off to go clean the toilet now…????

  18. It was great to learn some Japanese! I just visited Japan for two weeks ????❤
