  1. This is exactly what I teach my InnerCircle design clients to do when it comes to fixing all of that old 90's style! Please like and comment everyone! ????

  2. The pink and teal room, I’d just “lean into” it as an ironic style statement, or time capsule. In a few years, I bet it will seem cool and retro!

  3. I love my granite counter top, I don't don't have to worry about hot items, and it's natural and beautiful. I just painted the kitchen cabinets to help bring it to a more modern style.

  4. Beige is beige is beige is beige. People who live in beige rooms live beige lives. Mr. Big said it best in Sex and The City; 'Beige is bull#$@. Go head and make fun of that beige from the 90s. People will make fun of it in 20 years. Ditto your "fresher looking wallpaper." It's going to be "What were they thinking" in 20 years.

  5. My 1994 upscale suburban had all that except the niches. My carpet was hunter green.

  6. If this woman thinks that insane 90s color look is out of fashion now, I'd like to her introduce her to Gen Z…

  7. Around here every new construction and remodeled home in the last 10 -15 years or so has white shaker cabinets, subway tile backsplash – usually white and marble like quartz. So IMO quartz is already passé and more interesting stone including granite is coming back if you don’t want to look like everyone else

  8. Wasn't the whole rose and federal blue thing from the 90s? Or have I simply blocked it from my memory 😎

  9. I thought brass was making a comeback. My house has a lot of mixed metals, and I opted to streamline the brass (since the more expensive locks were brass). Shoot. Now I have to replace it all again.

  10. Re: countertops, Australia is in the process of banning engineered stone countertops. Silicosis is killing workers in manufacturing industries. Even with masks, the silicon particles are so tiny they pass through the mask and into the lungs, causing irreparable damage. And it’s just not the seasoned workers that have been in these industries for decades that are dying-young workers are dying too. Best to stick to natural stone or other alternatives.

  11. I prefer black granite to those trendy busy and brightly colored marbles. But I’m no designer!

  12. This is the first video I've seen on this channel with which I disagree. The example photos were indeed horrific, but I've seen houses with some of the elements mentioned that looked fantastic. It's about execution!

I was most horrified to see that a naturally occurring element like granite could be considered out of style! Heavens, someone ought to tell the Earth to stop producing it, so we can keep selling faux quartz!

If I'm wrong about my perspective on some of the points made here, I guess I don't want to be right.
