  1. Super COOL !!!!! I did a similar project with a driveway fence. Worked super at first, then over time the wood expanded and it wouldn't fit.

  2. I luckily don't have building codes in the country. My goal is to make it with the least amount of cost while still being durable. I'm too old to plan for much future but your plan looks great. Love the removable railing. Thank you April.????♥️♥️

  3. That rail at the stair is fine for a guardrail but it doesn't meet the building code for graspability.

  4. Old deck looked great and so does the new one. Two different styles. The new one wins just because it has the removable section and the easy to install other sections

  5. April, I am going to be building a huge deck on my house soon and these tips will surely help, Thank You.

  6. Nice handrail install! Where did you get the balusters themselves? Great project video! Thank April….

  7. What type of material are those black balusters made out of and are they to Code to

  8. Cheaper option:
Yard Sale #9-iron, or Sand Wedge ≈ $3.00
Chip right over that silly railing!!!????⛳️

  9. Those balasters are plastic, they will rot quickly and it's too easy to accidentally pop them out.

  10. Reminder for newbies: always drill on a stable surface and away from your body.

  11. This is brilliant, April. I love the tips and tricks and ideas with this deck / stair build. ????????

  12. The screws they give you are not stainless steel. You mentioned not to use galvanized because it will stain.

  13. Very nice looks great ???? you always do amazing work! Have a wonderful day!!

  14. There is no way the inspection office where I am at would be good with that. They would loose their minds. I really like it though and definitely see where I could incorporate it for lifting firewood on my deck.

  15. Deck is beautiful as are you!! Do you plan on a finish of anykind or just let it weather naturally??
