It keeps running me in circles when I try to subscribe. I'll try again later to see what happens.   8. I find the process of making things by hand with little to know automation in the process to be rather fascinating and hypnotically intoxicating to my mind that I can’t looking away or even blink for out of fear that I might miss something magical happening right before my very eyes.

    And I’m in my 30s but I still have the pure innocence and wonderment of a child when it comes to watching Master Craftsmen and women work their craft or trade.

  12. at 3:30 that is used as a taffy pulling machine here in the US, im sure its used for other things but in Gatlinburg TN they have shops where you can see how they make taffy , the machine is in the window so people can watch. that is the only time i've ever seen one of those so this is cool its basically the same process.

  14. I'm amazed that such a big company still does so much of their work by hand. The Kinumaki process reminds me of Lofty Pursuits in Florida who have a YouTube channel called Lofty Pursuits. They make all their candy by hand and even still do the hook pull to make their candy white. The business owner often goes into the centuries old history of the candy making equipment and techniques they use.

    Hand made stuff is becoming a rarer sight in the world because automation is cheaper and easier. It's quite intriguing.

  17. I love this, this video helps de-mystify the process and help me appreciate the whole process of sweets making, the sweets and the price- now I really want to go to visit. They're all such amazing craftsmen with clear dedication to their crafts and it's amazing

  19. I want to know how to make the senbei that are coated with ginger sugar, they sell them here but are made with margarine (VERY bad for you!) and the latest smelled musty 🙁
