Designer Amanda Shields and her husband wanted to build their dream home on the same property where he grew up. By taking it down to the studs, they totally transformed the house into a modern oasis while maintaining its original footprint. Don’t the miss the wow-factor great room with double height ceilings, expansive windows, and arched built-ins. You’ll love the modern china cabinet encased in drywall and the “beverage centre” made for entertaining.

Beautiful home & style, great for a newly built house.
So clean & beautiful! Love the Japandi elements of it..
I love the idea of the kitchen island and display cabinet being darker! And how your storage is built into the drywall, it looks so sleek ✨
Excellent design …. I wonder if you might share the flour plan.
Nice but lacks personality
I loved loved loved the windows and all the light coming in!
I really like the color palette. But me and my husband just bought a house and my father in law told us that it was the exact address of the home my husband was born at. What a coincidence.
Love every inch of this beautiful home…👌
This house is beautiful but also boring. Every room looks like the previous one: same colours, same materials and same finishes.
Beautiful home and design
I love this!!! Beautiful design and I love the details! A few negative comments about the picture of her dad. I LOVE it! It's unexpected and raw. I'm sure it speaks to her about how real her dad was and it adds character to a gorgeous home. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it.
Fantastic job 😍
Absolutely stunning, I love everything!
I was enjoying the design but why showcase the very improper picture of her dad. That's terrible taste for this show and should've been kept private. Shame on you for showing that picture.
Great home design except for the picture with the middle finger, it nullifed the entire class of the home. I am sure there are better pictures of her father which are respectable. Tough to listen to the designer as she ends every sentence with a question mark. ?? This seems to be the trend in communication from all YouTube video hosts.
This is lovely. It has a very peaceful feel while staying modern, livable, and with subtle attention to detail. Thank you. Great work!
Arghhhh…definitely my favourite style although some people feel boring ❤️
Clean and peaceful
