  1. I can understand that this is just content, however, still worth noting that virtually everyone is choosing between a chrono or a dive simply by which ever looks good, and not which will time something better.

  2. Who are we kidding? We set the alarm on our phones like sane people. 95% of dive watch bezels never move after three months of wear. The same is true of chronographs. Guys who actually need a chronograph use quartz because it is superior technology. I once worked in a place where guys had stop watches (all digital), and many wore chronographs, mostly g-Shock with some Citizen in there (their Attesa line has some high-end watches).

If you must time stuff, nothing beats digital or quartz. Swiss mechanical chronographs are jewelry, just like Swiss dive watches.

  3. This is why i believe the Rolex Daytona is an over hyped watch. No one who owns one is ever using it for its intended purpose

  4. Agreed. Another problem with chronographs is sometimes the minute hand on the main dial is right over the sub dial you are trying read. I hate that! I do think a bezel that rotates either direction is more practical, unless you are actually using it as a dive timer, which I doubt anyone does any more.

  5. First I measure where is twenty minutes, then I move the pointer to the twenty minutes spot. This will works like a countdown timer besel. BTW I still don't know how the chronograph watch help in car racing ?

  6. I would rather use countdown bezel. Unfortunately I know only of one watch with this complication.

  7. Totally agree. I love the look of chronos but 99.9% of the time you'd never use the complication. GMT and day/date are the most useful complications.

  8. If I start grilling at 10.30 I take it of at 10.50. Why fix it if it's not broken.
