A simple solution to stop rings from spinning on large knuckled fingers

Ashley’s ring needed a half-size adjustment, but her knuckles regularly swell, making the fit tricky. I resized it and added a sizing bar to keep it snug without spinning. Watch the careful process of reshaping, soldering, and polishing to create a perfectly comfortable fit.

  1. I have fibromyalgia too. I keep my ring really loose too. My hands and figures swelling constantly

  2. You use Boric acid and not Borax? I have thought about trying the Boric but others told me Borax was better. I have both and know they are similar.

  3. Get a GRS ring cutter & you can thank me later! Save you so much time & while increasing quality.

  4. Does this also help with spinning for people with fat knuckles and fingers that taper down a couple sizes? Rings have to slide over my big joints only to flop around and look too big once in place.

  5. I have a stainless steel spinner ring, and I was wondering if I should worry about getting it wet while washing dishes or just washing my hands.

  6. My fiance doesn't have any joint issues, but he's a blue collar worker so his fingers are thick and his knuckles are pretty big. Ring sizing has been a problem while looking for wedding bands, but after watching this video, we might have to look into getting a sizing bar installed for him since it would slip over his knuckle but not be loose once it's in place. Thanks for sharing your work!

  7. Wow that tool like "stripes" the right amount of how much you have to take out to make it smaller?? That's briljant, where do you get those? Fellow goldsmith here~

  8. Wow ❤ that's awesome that you took her medical issue into consideration. Awesome job

  9. Not sure what it is, but watching the solder melt into the joints is so satisfying to see. I love this, beautiful work!
