Air Fryer Chicken Parmigiana Recipe | Is It As Good As The Original?

In this video, we’re creating the classic favourite, Chicken Parmigiana, and giving it a modern twist with the help of an air fryer. This chicken parmigiana recipe doesn’t require much effort and can be ready from start to finish in less than 40 minutes. I also have to praise the air fryer in this recipe as I didn’t expect it to come out as good as it did. Please enjoy this recipe.

Ingredients –

Roasted Potatoes –

400g (14.oz) Baby Potatoes, Halved
1 Tbsp (20ml) – Olive Oil
1 tsp (2.5g) – Onion Powder
1 tsp (2.5g) – Garlic Powder
1 tsp (1.5g) – Dried Oregano
1 tsp (1.5g) – Dried Basil
1 tsp (2.5g) – Smoked Paprika
Seasoning To Taste
Flat Leaf Parsley To Serve

Chicken & Dredge –

2 – Chicken Breast, Butterflied & Halved
1 1/2 Cups (150g) – Panko or Fine Breadcrumbs
1 tsp (2.5g) – Garlic Powder
1 tsp (2.5g) – Sweet Paprika
1 tsp (2g) – Dried Oregano
1 tsp (2g) – Dried Basil
3 – Eggs
1/2 Cup (125ml) – Full Fat Milk
2 Cups (240g) – Plain Flour
Marina Sauce To Top
Parmesan Cheese To Your Liking
Mozzarella Cheese To Your Liking
Seasoning To Taste

Marinara Sauce –

1-2 Tbsp (20-40ml) – Olive Oil
4 – Garlic Cloves, Minced
1 Can (400g) – Crushed Tomatoes
2-3 Sprigs – Basil
1 tsp (4g) – Sugar
Seasoning To Taste

I used the Ninja Foodie Max XXXL Dual Zone Air Fryer in this video but you don’t have to have this exact model to create this dish.

If you dont want to use an air fryer or dont have one, this recipe can be deep fried or use a regular oven.

  10. Can i also use corn flour / corn starch?
    What difference does it make to use plain flour?

  11. For me the Chicken must be seasoned too. Salt garlic and pepper before puting it on flour. 1:15
