Hi Ed, First Let me say I love your videos and your work is amazing, thank you for all the great info. Without looking through all 132 comments, My question is, can this brushed aluminum be done with water based paint like Createx or is it easier and better with a solvent based paint ? I know the clear should be a solvent based, like 2k for good protection, but for the base color is what I am asking. Again Thank you. P.S Didn't you have a couple videos posted showing how you did the gas tank ?
Hi Ed !!! very instructional video! how kind of silver paint you used for this? greeetings from Argentina!
Watched this video 9years ago glad it’s still on and still helping people.
Best wishes from Berlin city

is there a place where you can get guitar blanks like the one you have here in this video ? I have been looking around but I can't seem to locate a source .
I just cleared it and left it like that.
Did you clearcoat this? After clearcoating should it be nessary to grind clearcoat to be flat and buff it?
Your very welcome
thank you buddy
I use automotive clear coat.
im thinking of doing something similar to one of my guitars…but i do not know what to clear wood with..what are your recommendations?

Damn fly! Great effect, im'll try this one next!
I have a silver finish on my bike, can I apply black of it and get the same effect. Will I need to sand my silver first? if so, what sand paper and wet or dry sand? thanks Ed..

One of your best videos Ed , GGGGGGreattt simply, cool, effect
I would double clear coat it to get rid of any texture or lines.
I am looking for cool ideas on how to paint my motorcycle. I really like this one i think it looks awesome. Does it leave a strange texture to the paint? could some light sanding take care of that? I'm rather new to the whole painting world but i would like to try this one out. any pointers?
