India has really progressed in the quality of its own people. In the 1970s when I was there, it was a whole different situation. The USA, not so much. I cannot say we are worse, but I do not see much progress. In the 1950s when my family spent the summer in Mexico one year, my father forgot to lock the door to our house. When we came back, nothing had changed. Compare JFK to Trump and Biden.
