For the fact that people need to be told it's bad sickens me .. It should be a no Brainer metal vs plastic take a wild guess.
I prefer bamboo boards. I never liked plastic boards. They warp if you wash them with hot water
I use one easy trick, I cut the food not the cutting board. 😀

Get better quality plastic boards. Mine is super hard and strong…
But plastic is tasty
macro wood is better
A glass cutting board is the best option
In asia we use glass, i need someone to test it out if it chips rhe glass
I get the colored ones so i can have different flavores
I hate plastic so much
