this is a psyop lol
Those sponges suck ass. Avoiding over consumption doesn't mean being a cheapskate.
Buy high quality items that are intended to last YEARS, that’s the key 🔑
I'm pretty similar to him honestly. But I think that's not that uncommon here in Europe.
When i broke my phone a few years ago I just used tape and it works 😂
The kitchenaid being thrown out is criminal!! 😮
We need to bring back the days of people knowing how to fix and sew their clothes, and repeairing things in general. And valuing our belongings ❤️
I understand this growing up poor as I did but I think this guy might be taking it too far?
He needs to throw them towels away ngl
Has he heard of sewing? Needles and threads aren't expensive or wasteful.
If things have rips or tears get new ones at goodwill.
In the third world, this is our normal. Those clothes with holes are just clothes to be on the house, you aren't exactly gonna be seen by others wearing them so we don't mind keeping them, you don't go out with them. That or they receive the mop treatment: you wear your broom with them and ta-da! new mop that works 100x better because it's all cotton. Sometimes they're also cut to make our own DIY kitchen towels. And wait until he learns you can reuse plastic bags and PET bottles! Good to store virtually anything.
Maybe if he wasn’t such an infamous sellout
Bro needs to learn how to sew
the car bit is backwards – if you already have to drive, then make the trip count. this guy has a 2 seat car – can't take more passangers, can't put things on the back seats to transport. keeping the fridge on the lowest level is dangerous, and makes the food last shorter. also modern fridge barely uses energy, as it keeps the temperature stable and not try to cool things down from zero each time. i just don't think a lot of what he's doing is based in any real calculation and research, and just "gut feeling". also performative – you can fix the hem of your pants and you SHOULD – it keeps the fabric from unraveling and so it will last longer. but then you don't look "underconsumption core" anymore
this man needs to pick up a needle and thread lol
Maybe it’s because I grew up kinda poor, but like even we didn’t go to that extreme. BUT to each their own, whatever works for him!! I feel like you won’t ever really see ACTUAL under consumption unless you spend a real life day with an average person who isn’t on social media lol.
Lmao isn’t this the guy that went off on people who spend on DoorDash then sells himself out by being sponsored by DoorDash?
im 90% sure this guy grew up poor and has been struggling financially for a long time so the fact that he is so extreme makes sense
thank you, yes, repair is important ❤️🩹
No, girl. This man is just cheap.
He was probably making bait content or whatever it's called, because this is the definition of "Save a penny, spend a pound"
I’m so done with these comments. Y’all have a problem with everything.
Yes this is important but also the way things you use look is important for you to feel pride in your appearance and the way you present yourself to the world. Find a cobbler or seamstress to help repair your stuff.
Tbh this isn’t bad but this life isn’t for everyone ? Like why spilt my tissues in half? Overconsumption on food , clothes , makeup and such is bad but not to the point where I am wearing ripped shoes and a backpack and splitting my tissues in half there are so many other ways to avoid overconsumption without making it hard on urself
GROCERY PICK UP – everything is in plastic, it’s overpriced. Get your own groceries and stop using plastic bags for vegetables.
