Designer Olivia Botrie brings her signature design moves to a house in Toronto’s East end. “My clients love to cook and entertain, plus they have teenagers, so they wanted a lot of hang out zones on the main floor,” says Olivia. From a giant island with counter seating to a built-in banquette and beverage bar, this main floor addition has become the heart of the home.

Making money is an action. Keeping money is behavior. Growing money is knowledge..
Your work is gorgeous. Very thoughtful and your attention to detail is inspirational. I love watching you projects.
Love this. The layout is very functional
Very thought out layout especially with the bar and aircon over the fridge because the top of the fridge to me is useless space. Im going to use that idea for my kitchen reno.. Love this designer.
Really surprised they didn't choose to panel the front of the refrigerator to match the column of cupboards at the end. The front of the fridge kind of spoils the aesthetic, especially in such an open concept space.
Olivia's love of a banquette makes me love mine even more. Looks fantastic!
IT is beautiful. If there was any chance at all of a price range for how much this cost, it would really help some of us figure out what our future Renos could cost.
What?! We were told by our airconditioning company that hiding a unit like that is not a good idea at all, since the unit will need space for the air flow that goes in a circular pattern. Also, it would be impossible to service the airco when it's tucked away like that, according to the company ????
Beautiful home. Great use of space, it’s functional, open and it looks amazing
Gorgeous transformation! I absolutely love it!
Well, of course it definitely looks better, but I'm still not a fan with the "after".
