With the U.S n most of the west supporting Ukraine this war is never going to end as Russia(Putin) will never back down n innocent people of Ukraine are the ones who are suffering the most, the U.S n the west are quite happy for this horrific war to continue as they get to fight Russia and embarras Russia and Putin on the world stage and try to weaken Putin at home and the west doesn't have to risk losing any troops. The U.S and the west should be concentrating on ceasefires and peacetalks instead of sending more and more sophisticated weapons which is just going to prolong the war. They should have a ceasefire n bring in United Nations peacee keepers and then let the U.N.peace keepers hold n run the referendums in the eastern Russian speaking parts of Ukraine and Russia should be able to keep crimea as its one of their major military ports, and Ukraine should be allowed to join the E.U but not NATO as it should remain a neutral country between Russia and NATO and what ever the results are in the referendums both sides should except the result . This is the best way i can see for this war to end . Which wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for NATO'S/America's constant expansion of NATO eastwards since the cold war ended even though there was an agreement between the U.S and Russia that NATO wouldn't expand even an inch eastwards beyond Germany.
