If this dish doesn’t scream summer I don’t know what does. These Buttered Steamed Clams (with chilies and herbs) are buttery, spicy and so quick and easy to make. Find the recipe below! @theboldappetite
Servings: 3-4
Ingredients
-½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
-10 cloves garlic, minced
-1 jalapeño, finely diced
-1 Fresno chili, finely diced
-1 cup dry white wine
-3 dozen clams, cleaned
-1 lemon, juiced
-1/4 cup parsley, chopped
-1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
Preparation:
1. In a pan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until soft and fragrant. Add the jalapeño and Fresno peppers, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
2. Deglaze the pan with wine and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the clams and cover the pan. Cook until the clams open, which could take 5-10 minutes depending on their size. Discard any clams that do not open.
4. Finish with lemon juice and herbs. Serve with crusty bread.
Simpsons jokes aside, this dish looks great!
This will absolutely make an unforgettable luncheon.
Is that white wine ? If so, is there anything i can use instead of white wine ?
What herb was used at the end? Parsley? Cilantro maybe?
That's the noisiest pot ever.
