Buttered Steamed Clams

If this dish doesn’t scream summer I don’t know what does. These Buttered Steamed Clams (with chilies and herbs) are buttery, spicy and so quick and easy to make. Find the recipe below! @theboldappetite

Servings: 3-4

Ingredients
-½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
-10 cloves garlic, minced
-1 jalapeño, finely diced
-1 Fresno chili, finely diced
-1 cup dry white wine
-3 dozen clams, cleaned
-1 lemon, juiced
-1/4 cup parsley, chopped
-1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

Preparation:
1. In a pan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until soft and fragrant. Add the jalapeño and Fresno peppers, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
2. Deglaze the pan with wine and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the clams and cover the pan. Cook until the clams open, which could take 5-10 minutes depending on their size. Discard any clams that do not open.
4. Finish with lemon juice and herbs. Serve with crusty bread.

  1. Is that white wine ? If so, is there anything i can use instead of white wine ?
