RECIPE
1 16-oz block medium firm tofu
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 scoops KOS Organic Chocolate Protein Powder
1/3 cup coconut milk
Pinch of salt

Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth, adding more coconut milk as needed to combine. Enjoy immediately, or store in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Prawn Tempura ???? #shorts (not so basic, sorry Mitch)

Prawn Tempura

Recipe

Ingredients

– 8 raw prawns, peeled and deveined with tail still on
– 1 sweet potato, sliced about 0.5cm thick
– 2 squash, sliced about 0.75 cm thick
– 200g tempura batter flour
– 50g flour
– 50ml dashi
– 40ml soy
– 30ml mirin
– 20ml yuzu juice
– 1 tsp cornflour
– oil for frying
– salt to taste
– optional Togarashi for seasoning

Method

1. Start by slicing all the veg. You can use mostly harder veg but you don’t want things with too high of water content.
2. For the prawns, make 4-5 small slices on the belly so the prawns stay straight.
3. To make the batter, simply mix the tempura flour (you should be able to find it at most Asian supermarkets) with ice-cold water until you have the consistency of pouring cream. Try not to overmix the batter, small lumps are fine.
4. To make the dipping sauce, add the dashi, soy, yuzu and mirin to a small pot and bring to a simmer. Thicken it by mixing a tablespoon of water with the cornflour before adding it to the simmering sauce and mixing. You don’t want a thick sauce just slightly thicker than cold soy.
5. To fry the tempura, get the oil to 160c then dust the veg and prawns in the flour, then into the batter.
6. Fry until crisp. You are looking for just a light golden colour.
7. Remove from the oil and onto a rack, season with salt and Togarashi if you wish (thanks to Steph and Marty for the ones they brought us back from Japan)
8. Enjoy it immediately before it loses its crispiness.

1 gousse d’ail
1/2 cuillère à café de cannelle
120 ml de lait
cuillères à soupe de crème fraîche
30 g de parmesan râpé
FACULTATIF : poivre

1 – Le lait peut être remplacé par du lait de noix de cajou ou autre lait vegan.
2 – Le parmesan peut être remplacé par de la levure nutritionnelle. Sinon retrouvez ici ma recette de parmesan vegan : https://youtu.be/COR8eZMIGuo
3 – La crème fraîche peut être remplacée par de la crème de soja ou crème d’avoine (recette juste ici : https://youtu.be/iQ-oellzEVA).
4 – On peut faire cette sauce avec d’autres noix (exemple : noix de cajou, cacahuètes,…)

Originally lacking natural light due to its narrow and deep floorplan, the addition of new windows, and a bright palette dramatically brightened the home. Redividing the space using glass walls made more of the space usable, splitting it into new kitchen, living and sleeping zones that were previously all one space. Added closed storage extends from the entryway into the kitchen creating a sense of calm by concealing much of the home’s clutter. Light green marble in the bathroom and kitchen, alongside touches of colourful paint accent the white palette throughout; and alongside an indoor swing add a sense of playfulness to the home.

We are a team of passionate bakers working in a historic building in downtown Mesa that has been converted into a retail bakery.

Everything we bake is long-fermented with our sourdough starter ‘Harriet’. Each product is artisan, crafted by hand, from the best local ingredients, with no shortcuts.

We bake in line with 13,000 years of human history, avoiding artificial processes and unnecessary ingredients. Honoring tradition and serving better bread for our community.
