What would be the most powerful psychological force in Game of Thrones? In this video I want to talk about why his identity as Stark or Greyjoy is so psychologically important for Theon. We’ll discuss how a sense of identity helps Theon recover from his devastation at the hands of Ramsay after he becomes Reek and how we can all think about our own identities so that they serve us in the best and worst times in our lives.

First off, in the context of Game of Thrones being a Stark and being a Greyjoy mean two very different things. Starks are honor bound to a fault, morose, and completely without guile. Greyjoys are pillagers who take advantage of the weak, enjoy the hedonistic pleasures in life, and are constantly looking to improve their position. Theons choice to identify as a Greyjoy over a stark changes the entire course of the story.

– You will need a 16 in. decorating bag to fit this larger decorating tip.
– For easier smoothing, it may help to dip the spatula into hot water, wipe dry and glide it across the entire surface.
– Another way to smooth the icing is to set the cake aside and allow the icing to lightly set up for about 15 minutes before decorating. Lay Parchment Paper on the iced cake top and gently smooth with the palm of your hand.

How to Choose and Care for Orchids – Costa Farms

Costa Farms teaches you tricks for choosing and caring for orchids.

When choosing an orchid, make sure the leaves are firm and green, the blossoms are not damaged and that there are a few unopened buds.

There are four factors to keep your orchid blooming for a long time:
1. Light exposure
2. Temperature
3. Moisture level
4. Fertilizer

Direct sunlight can cause sunburn and ugly black splotches on an orchid’s leaves. The larger an orchid’s leaves, the less sunlight it needs.

Orchids are tropical plants that need a warm environment, between 65 and 80 degrees, to thrive.

The best way to water your orchid is to use the sink and drain technique. Remove your orchid from the pot, place it in the sink and run the faucet over the roots for about 2 minutes. Water early in the day at the roots to avoid moisture settling overnight. Never over-water your orchid.

Follow fertilizer instructions carefully. Make sure your orchid is slightly damp when you fertilizer, and don’t over compensate the fertilizer concentration.

She Claimed to Be a Titanic Survivor But Nobody Believed Her

We’ve heard the miraculous accounts from survivors of Titanic, painting a vivid picture of that harrowing night. They’ve all given us their unique personal experiences – except for one. Her name was Berthe Antonine Mayne, and when she told people about her life-changing cruise on the unsinkable ship; nobody believed her.

Her story was discovered more than 50 years later when her nephew found a box in her closet with several clippings, photographs, and letters. So, why did everybody doubt her tale? Well, there’s a reasonable explanation. Oh, btw, this story isn’t about the sinking of the Titanic only but also about big love…

SUMMARY:
– Mayne was born in Brussels on the 21st of July, 1887. She became a cabaret singer in Brussels under the stage name Bella Vielly. She was very talented.
– In the winter months of 1911, she met the love of her life. His name was Quigg Baxter, and he was a professional hockey player from Montreal, Canada.
– One night, Baxter was vacationing in Brussels with his mother and sister. The moment Mayne walked on stage, and their eyes met, she knew he was the one. It was love at first sight.
– Baxter was going to return to Canada with her on the Titanic in April of 1912; and that meant that his and Mayne’s relationship would have to come to end. The thought devastated him.
– He refused to leave Europe until the love of his life went with him.
– He secretly booked another cabin for her: number C-90, which was located right below his room. In order to make sure that nobody knew about it, he changed her name to “Mrs. De Villiers”.
– On the night of the accident, Baxter was sitting in his room with his sister, when suddenly they felt the crash, and the ship stopped.
– His family hadn’t even known that she was on-board the Titanic, or that they were a couple to begin with. So, as soon as they got to the lifeboat, he re-introduced them.
– Baxter waved at his family as they were lowered to the ocean at 1:10 am. There were only 29 people on board, and things were tense among them.
– When they were taken to New York, they searched excessively for Baxter, but he was never found. His love and his family were devasted.
– Mayne moved back to Europe and continued being a cabaret singer. This time it was in Paris.
– She never got married or had any children. When she retired, she moved to a country house in the suburbs of Brussels.
– Mayne recounted how she was on-board the Titanic with a Canadian millionaire, but that story seemed way too far-fetched to be the truth.
– After she passed away, her nephew went to her house and went through a few of her things. Before long, he discovered a mysterious shoebox in the closet. Inside was all the evidence to back up her unbelievable story.

The Google Pixel phone is durable indeed, but not invincible. Glass screens can still crack and shatter, and sometimes need to be replaced. This video will show how I replace the screen on my own Google Pixel (Regular sized) as well as how I remove the battery, and the charging port. luckily everything on this phone is pretty modular. And even better, the screen replacements arent super complicated.

The screen of the Google Pixel is only held in place by adhesive. And two small T5 screws that hold the screen connector in place. If you want your screen to survive the removal process its incredibly important that you do not touch the LED with your metal tools.

When it comes to boujie brunch foods, eggs benedict is probably at the top of the list (we still love you avocado toast). The presentation is definitely picture worthy and the taste and flavors are spot on. So how do you make eggs benedict even better? Waffles. That’s right, this eggs benedict switches it up by using a savory waffle as the base instead of an English muffin.

Making hollandaise sauce doesn’t have to be difficult. Simply add the hollandaise sauce ingredients into the blender and let it do all the work. This will save you time whisking and give you more time for eating. Follow along as Rachel also gives a helpful tip on poaching eggs. Seriously, it’s magic.

How to Repair a Bent Ejector Rod on Smith and Wesson Revolvers | Smith & Wesson Revolver Project

A bent ejector rod can make the ejection of spent casings rough, and can also prevent smooth functioning of the revolver action. Watch along as Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, explains the process for straightening a bent ejector rod in this presentation. He starts by disassembling the gun and removing the ejector rod. The rod is then chucked in a drill press and a dial indicator is mounted to the press table. By hand turning the quill, the dial indicator is used to measure the amount of runout that is present. Using a nylon faced hammer, the rod is tapped back into alignment until the excessive runout is removed. Then the revolver is ready to be reassembled.
