  1. Cool video, but the worst part of most draw knives for me is they're all way too short. I build log homes and we build our draw knives out of old 24" planer blades. Keeps our fingers from scraping against the bark when we're peeling it off.

  2. My next project is melting down high carbon steel allen wrenches to make a hella camp tool set.
    First job will be a knife of any kind (haven't decided yet)
    Eventually I wanna figure out a collapsible shovel/saw
    I wouldn't call myself a jack of all trades…

    Why not start from scratch? If you're going to do all the heat treat and grinding ANYWAY, might as well pick the steel too

  4. so the steel is ok but the rest is crap. good job making a nice tool. ive never used a drawknife.
