  1. Here in Denmark the tradition used to beers and hotdogs, but recently we've switched to sodas and hotdogs.

  2. Man thats terrible Arlo me and my guys would go at every phase slab walls roof never needed much of a reason

  3. “Roof shout” is what we call it in New Zealand. Normally when the roofing is finished. Perfect timing. Great content guys. Want/NEED a guy like Arlo on my site everyday!

  4. These guys would be lost without Arlo…. Probably more lost than someone using Keeps ????????????????

  5. so. whats up with Jaime ?? hes much more less in the vids as im used to! bring him back! 😀

  6. Hey boys love the work! Am an electrician all the way in New Zealand and when the house is sealed in fully here we have what's called a "roof shout" where we have a BBQ and a few beers. Keep up the good work ????

  7. I understand that you have no choice but to use imperial, but gosh it is so confusing. I cant approximate or imagine in my head any of the sizes which you name sometimes. 12 inches in a foot, thou, hand, furlong etc. You want something less than inch? here take this fraction and figure out. So confusing. Had to actually google why US does not change to metric. I like what you are doing anyways, good job.

  8. had a debate one time with a time served pipe welder friend of mine. in the "old" days, welds would be overdone in case of failure. today, they have to be precise as engineering specs dictate the connection, thus the onus is on the welder rather than the material to hold up. And a couple of poor welds can result in disaster. In our historic old house, there was a 8×8 holding up the porch roof. when we renovated the inspector didn't like that (as it "just a log") and didn't have the Maple Leaf on it to say, "GOV APPROVED FOR USE" (which is the real reason, but cannot put that on paper). Bear in mind this sucker has been holding up the center of this snow load framing for 100+ years, with some massive 12 inch spikes through it….We had to remove it and replace with an engineered beam at significant cost. Inspector/Engineer was just doing their job, no complaining but sometimes if it is doing ok, is not damaged and fit for purpose, then leave it alone. I believe there should be a "historic/old" building code that allows for existing things that are structurally sound to be allowed upon discretion/inspection and noted on the report.
