  1. Now see this is something I am already familia- wait… Side AXE? Nevermind then. ????

  2. "down in my other shed" damn I don't even have one shed, it's more of a storage box ????????????

  3. Hey, eoin
I was wondering, what role do files and rasps have in working and shaping wood?

  4. Your hat game is 10/10 super awesome. As someone who loves "old fashioned" men's hats I'm totally on board with your hat style and have many similar ones.

  5. You need the axe to chop the wood that makes the handle for the axe that will chop the wood for the handle of the axe that you'll use to shape the handle of the axe…

  6. Idk why, but him saying that its time to get revenge was super fucken funny to me

  7. I have done this myself and its a lot of work to remove that much material, especially on a modern axe.

  8. True! I saw a Finish fellow, an old farmer, make a new handle for his felling axe with a hatchet, a knife and a piece of broken pane glass. Like you, he took a piece off his woodpile for the job!

  9. wait, that axe went THROUGH your hand? Jesus, I though me nearly cutting a finger off with a hunting knife was bad

  10. And here is me thinking you're going to have your hand make its way through the axe for revenge ????

  11. Interesting, I have a hairline scar about 2.5" long on the back of my hand, between the thunm and forefinger… I wonder how that could have happened?? ????
After working as a carpenter, mechanic, blacksmith and chef in my life, I can tell you this…
If you work with axes/knives you're going to get cut. Work with tools and you will* bust your knukles. Work with fire and you will get burned, it's just a matter of when, not if and anyone who says "they've never" cut or burned themselves in all their days has never done anything worth braging about. Good stuff. ????

  12. I tried my hand at hanging an old axe head I found in my dads old shop and it was a poor attempt that jiggles and I used as is for far too long. Gonna get going on another handle and hopefully this ones a bit sturdier!

  13. Never heard of a side axe before but it's an awful lot like a hewing axe in utility just smaller.

  14. Some lessons are more painful than others, glad to see your hand healed up nicely lad
