  1. You know how to get people hungry in your videos
and I always have to be eating something while
you are cooking even if it is a saltine cracker.

  2. Put 4lbs of pinto beans on the burner today with a pound of pork belly for flavor. Sorry I didn’t use seasoning, just my own concoction. No measurements, no recipe. I’m gonna have burritos, refritos and a chili ???? I make ????????????????????????

  3. I'm willing to bet if I got in a car crash, went into a coma, and forgot everything, including my name, I would remember how good Van Camps Beanee Weenees were. Childhood staple!

  4. I have a similar recipe passed down from my dad. Beans/weenies/bacon/onion/brown sugar/small potatoes.
It is in high demand for gatherings we go to. I am always asked to bring the "cowboy beans" to the party/bar-b-q.
My father always made it when we were deer hunting and camping. He called them "cowboy beans" and my kids called them "cowboy food".

  5. Working construction and oilfield most of my life I have ate thousands of cans of Beanie weenies. My favorite way is to mix some crumbled Fritos in them.

  6. Kent these will sure be better than canned, you the man when it comes to cooking, enjoy your shows so much, always feel better after watching you
Blessings to you Shannon and the pups

  7. A celebration of simplicity. Excellent idea. Beanie weanies are a forgotten delight If DONE PROPERLY. Great job.

  8. Me now I'm definitely going to try your recipe and make it that way. The one thing I'm going to add though it is cheddar jalapeno cornbread. I think that would be the perfect compliment

  9. You have definitely upgraded beenies and weenies to almost fine dining. Appreciate meeting you and Shannon at the Denver book signing. Looking forward to cookin up some good meals from it.

  10. C Ration-Meal, Combat, Individual Beans W/Frankfurter Chucks in Tomato Sauce, only thing that could help that meal, direct hit, 8inch 🙂 Boom

  11. Looks great in low country south carolina we call those swamp beans and we add ground pork sometimes

  12. I count myself fortune that I didn't grow up with this beans and franks thing. Too 'low-brough' (no offence) for my parents, and frankly (pun intended) it wasn't a thing in Japan or Australia. The first time I had anything named this was from an MRE during my third extended training exercise back in '99. I used two other soldiers' tabasco bottles to cover it up as best I could, it was that disgusting. I never touched anything like that since. (I'm not even fond of those tinned [canned in American English] pork and beans things either).
However, the way you just made this, with sausage, bacon and no tinned stuff, you may have just given this a second chance in my book. I will put some cheese on top though.
Thank you for once again showing that American food isn't gross at all, when you make it fresh and move away from the processed offerings.
