Discover Your Kitchen Personality

Do you choose to get up early to prep the night meal? Or are you one of those who are able to discover a balance in between?

These are a few of the concerns I ask in “Kitchen Life,” my brand-new book in which I quiz readers to assist them identify what type of cooks they are. I’ve established dishes and methods that support a person’s cooking and cooking area management design.

The test results reveal me that absence of time is the most significant barrier in the cooking area. The right tools, however, can assist with that.

Amongst my leading 5 time-saving kitchen area fundamentals is a vacuum-packaging device. My preferred is made by FoodSaver. Whether you’re attempting to maintain meals you’ve prepared beforehand or keep the fresh-cooked tastes and textures of leftovers, this device is a simple method to get more out of your time in the cooking area.

As you prepare your meals, you can conserve a great deal of time if you try to find dishes that enable you to utilize your leftovers. I call these dishes “cooking area workhorses” due to the fact that one batch can yield a number of various meals.

Take my Chili Shepherd’s Pie with Buttermilk Potato Topping. I begin with my Kitchen Workhorse Chunky Beef Chili.

I vacuum-package the additional chili with my FoodSaver device and freeze the rest in regulated sizes to utilize later on for other dishes, like my delicious Soft Beef Tacos or Chili and Macaroni Casserole. Voila! From one meal, numerous.
