DIY Upcycled Porch & Patio Decor: Using Stuff Headed to the Trash

In this video, I use items collecting dust in my garage to create unique porch, patio, and outdoor decor. The upcycled items include a plant stand made from old shutters, a planter from an old magazine rack, a birdhouse from an old mailbox, an outdoor paver table into a pretty tiled looking table, a decrepit table into a planter, a piano bench into a potting bench, a coat tree upcycled with tree branches, and an upholstered bench into a wood slat bench or plant stand.

  1. The tile table and that sweet mailbox birdhouse are so cute…as was everything else!

  2. Awesome !!! Love each one, not a fan of the red for the piano bench, but the love the idea and my favorites were the bird house(adorable) and the old bench…I agree with you, I would use it indoors !!!! Hope you have a great week Sherry ! ????

  3. Great ideas as always, my favorite is the tissue paper tiled table at the end. You are very talented and creative as well as extremely resourceful!

  4. All your projects are absolutely adorable. On a note about the moss rose, my mom used to have in her yard. She loved flowers. She called it chisme (in Spanish) it means gossip, I guess cuz it spreads like gossip. Lol…just a cute story.❤️????????????

  5. Oh my each project is just absolutely beautiful! I love them all so much that I can’t pick a favorite!!!!!❤

  6. The mailbox/birdhouse is so clever and charming. The topiary refresh was great – so much better than donating such a promising item.❤

  7. Loved all the transformations! That mailbox is adorable! Loved the look of that bench.

  8. I love the birdhouse mailbox, it is so sweet! I also think the bench looks beautiful after you removed all the horsehair fillers. You have the best makeover ideas.

  9. Hi Cherie, the magazine rack transformation is gorgeous. Best however, goes to the lovely inhabitants of your front door wreath! What an incredible homage to your work. You are blessed! ????????????????✝

  10. Beautiful ideas. Great talent❣ Love your planters, and you table with the tile look.

  13. You're amazing Sherry! I love your fast paced videos and ingenuity and I look forward to new videos every week. It's hard to select a favorite, but I do love the upcycled magazine rack. I think I will have to give that one a try. Love how you styled it on the hearth. Watching your channel is better than Netflix!

  14. My favorite is the former horse hair bench. It turned out terrific! It has such classic lines I can see how it could be changed up at any time with a new coat of paint to suit decor changes.
