  2. When did you plant those peas? I sowed mine March 22 and they are just starting to flower.

  3. Lol it's your fault James ???? bringing Tuck up on fresh garden veggies ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  4. I will pick some peas and see how it goes. My cucumbers…so many flowers on them and not much growth, crazy.
Always liked your strawberries…well a lot of plants you have are very…yum 🙂

  5. Am assuming clay washes off after rain, much like diatomaceous earth powder?

Great video. Nothing better than fresh fruit right off the tree. I have, european plum, santa rosa plum, peach, pear, arkansas black and granny smith apple trees, blueberry hedge with about 6 diff variety including pink lemonade, 3 raspberry (1) yellow, chigago fig, desert king fig, 2 blackberries, 2 grape, and am sure am missing bunch ????

Eta: belle of GA and Elberta peaches in containers!

  6. What breed is Tuck? He looks a lot like my neighbors dachshund Gimley. We pass produce and seeds and starts across the fence often

  7. i have added the torinjina hybrid organic tomato to my garden this year.. apparently 10to12 feet tall i'm in northern ontario canada.. we'll hope for the best and try to keep up with you.. thx James for all the amazing knowledge

  8. Thank you! I followed this advice from you for cucumbers last year and got more than I ever have before. I'm still a novice and I really need tips like this.

  9. Tuck is getting very pushy with his desire for veggies this year, never seen him act this way before this current growing season

  10. James gets a lot of ???????????? but we all know who is backing this production.????????????????All hail, King Tuck! That shalt be king hereafter! Of noble having and of royal hope, that he seems rapt withal!????????????????????????????????????????????????????

  11. Great tips to know James and crew!

First time growing cucumbers as we grew bitter gourd last year for my step in laws and saw how quickly turned yellow. We didn't personally like it green so we harvested them for her but the seeds, when the fruit turns yellow was ok. A bit like pomegranate. They didn't germinate this year so great to know about not to let them over ripe.

Q: We are growing Lili F1, which is a short variety. Being new to cucumber growing, we are used to the longer ones, so not sure how big these will get? Probably 4- 6 in/ 10 -15cm?

I was thinking of pickling the excess like gherkins, so i am also growing dill to add to the can pickled stuff this year.

Q: re raspberries are they generally open pollinated as we moved one to the other end of the garden?

Again, Loving the tips as i watch!

I found those garden S white bug things on two of my potato that i was chitting indoors and just binned them so i didn't infect the containers, with the others.

Q: Are they forever worms type creatures or do they upgrade to wing form?

Remember that Leslie Neelson film on the Aeroplane, when they all did that face palm? I was so happy to finally get carrots out of this new method of an up right off the ground cold frame but i had one carrot that wanted to produce more shoots than roots. I thought that by cutting back the main stem, would let it bulk out a bit down below…. It looks like Kansas now in that mini bed and that carrot now have white fly or carrot fly and it's neighbouring beetroot has aphids.

I am such a dufess as they all seem to be happy, despite minor leaf miner damage but nothing compared to introducing Dwarf Kale to Spinach but apparently, kale has a toxic fan base of leaf miners. I have 5 kale plants in the bed and the plan was to get them established and remove 2 after a big harvest of young plants and hopefully they survive the backwards transplant for donations.

I like trying different things and learning about what works in my garden.

Q: I want to try dry grass clippings as a new source of mulch but want the plants to "beef" up a bit to prevent blight and discourage pests. Is it worth the risk?

I have so many other questions and also social questions about donating and asking for the pots back for next year, so they get more donated plants but i got a hint that they "recycled" them but these are the old strong style that i don't think that can be recycled pots and are totally reusable to match the sets. My donated trays of plants are getting stunted due to the lack of pots that weren't returned as asked and we don't have the funds to replace them on this conveyor belt of up sizing them and making sure they are ok to give out.

I have asked for the big 6 ltre bottles and for the pots since at least Christmas. I am now resorting to reusing fizzy 2ltr bottles of pepsi max, as some plants like tomatoes are getting purple and brassicas are beginning to pale. They are getting £8 plants for free, not to mention the care etc, lights, pots soil and amendments. Had we have the pots returned they would get a £12 – £14 organic plant.

It was interesting learning about what herbs, etc that the other kids parents give to their kids and what they turned their noses up at. There's us 2 years ago trying courgettes stems and leaves and saying no or last year trying bitter gourd as we already use herbs and spices. Garlic is a must too.

The strangest thing was how fussy our kid was and never liked the shop puree food and learned what they wanted.

Anyway, this was a banger of a video James! I feel for the camera person when you and Tuck, tuck in!

Much love and best wishes from London, UK. – We Out! lol

  12. Watching ur videos encouraged me to find the golden raspberries. Hoping for berries next season

  13. That video was a banger dude, one of your best yet! Implementing what im learning from you and having so much fun! Thank you for these videos ????????

  14. Thank you for the tips! I’m in Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. My 2 native mulberry trees are producing fruit like crazy this year. I’ve been harvesting 16 cups of berries every other day. More than ever! Wondering if they like to be picked too. ???? Do you know how to get gooseberries to fruit well? Not sure if the birds are doing mine in. They start fruiting but never get more than small pea sized. Love the channel. Thanks.
