as a former worker at one of the mentioned restaurants, yeah this is exactly how all of the soups and mac n' cheese were prepped. Big freeze bags that were semi-boiled to readiness. Some people would be disappointed if they heard that their food was frozen, but it still tasted pretty dang close to fresh!
Just started planning my postpartum freezer meals today when this popped up in my feed. The vacuum seal and sous vide idea is so great! Now I have so many more options than just crockpot meals!
This came at such a good time. I can afford the time to cook for a months worth of food. But weekly is a stretch some weeks. Your already going to do the work so might as well maximize your time and prep for longer
