  1. Hi friends! How many of you are cooking your FIRST ever turkey this year? If so, you've got this!! Don't be intimidated by cooking a turkey, it's much easier than you think. And remember that you can find the printable recipe and directions on my website. I can't wait to see all your turkey photos on social media. Remember to tag me! xo – Lisa

  2. Following your directions, this was the first time I ever cooked a turkey without stuffing it. It felt REALLY strange, lol. I even carved it myself for the first time. It was hands down the most juicy bird to ever emerge from my oven. Thank you so much. I've YET to be disappointed in any of your recipes.

  3. I cooked a turkey for the first time yesterday for 8 people, and they all absolutely loved it! They already want me to cook the Christmas turkey as well, haha. Thank you so much for this tutorial!

  4. Why don't we put the lid on the roasting pan? I was always taught that kept the turkey from drying out?

  5. Made this as my first turkey this year. I needed a little help, but it turned out very good, my family loved it! It cooked a little faster than expected.

The alterations I did was: ready made herb and garlic butter. We mixed some olive oil with the butter before putting on turkey. And our store didn’t have fresh sage so we used dried sage.

Thank you so much for this recipe! Was amazing!

  6. Great recipe, thank you so much, first time my turkey did not come out dry! This one's a keeper!

  7. Best turkey ever. So many compliments. Thank you! I did put foil over the wings and a little foil over the top of breast because it was browning but it never burned.

  8. Thanks for the video and recipe; turkey came out perfect! My carving needs some work but overall great Thanksgiving meal.

  9. Our 4th year of making turkey by following this wonderful video. Still the most helpful video. Happy Thanksgiving!

  10. Making my first turkey this year and using the video! What do I do if the “internal temperature” already reads 160° after only two hours of cooking?? (16lb turkey)

  11. I made your recipe today, I have never made a turkey before. This was the best turkey I have ever had thank you. My guess said the same think. ❤❤❤❤

  12. Great video, very helpful and if you didn’t tell us we would never know that turkey was too hot! You did it like a champ ????
