  1. I teared up a little bit when you said that these are real peoples food budgets. I never really put two and two together when I had to cut down our grocery bill to 50 dollars per paycheck orrrr 25 dollars a week. Thankfully when we had a little more money in our budget I stocked up on items like beans, rice, oatmeal, and meat to freeze. I realize I am still in a better place than others but It's still not a place I've been in for several years. Also thankful my son is breastfed right now : ) still a lot to be thankful for

  2. I was taught to add a little oil and salt to my rice while it cooks but you don't do that. Doesn't it come out tasting bland?

  3. Can i ask you a question can you make the flour tortilla with gluten-free flour

  4. I watch both you and Lisa. You both are so amazing how you come up with ideas for meals. We don't have a dollar tree but I take inspiration from your videos. No matter how much money you have to spend on food it is always a good idea to be frugal. Thank you.

  5. Your tortilla recipe is the absolute best ! 🥰💐🌹🌞🌛💗✝

  6. I love how much respect you show everyone, no matter what their circumstances are. You can tell you have such a good heart! 💕 Also…your outfit, hair and makeup are adorable! 🥰

  7. Soaking beans adds hours to a dinner and does nothing for our health. Just cook it the extra time, usually 30 to 45 min.

  8. THE CAJUN SEASONING BLEND IS NOT…NOT…A LOW SALT SEASONING BLEND!!!! It's 65 mg sodium for 1/4 teaspoon. So, per tablespoon, it's 780 mg of sodium! You easily added 3 or 4 tablespoons to this dish. That's 2,340 – 3,120 mg of added sodium. (The recommended daily sodium limit is 2,300 per day.) Even though this is a recipe that will be eaten over 7 days, it's still salt overload. Please look at the serving size before claiming that something is lower sodium. Thanks for all that you do!

  9. When I'm hard-pressed drink wise, the little single serving sleeves of drink mix are a game changer. My Dollar Tree has sugar-free options sometimes, too.

  10. Suggestions for these low budget weeks: maybe don't include the cost of beans, rice, etc. These types of things are so incredibly common at food pantries, blessing boxes, etc. It would help the $35 stretch even further.
