  1. Modern times now,

So socially at theirs – if I know I’m running late – you know -sat nav – I drop them a text and apologise, needlessly perhaps, but sorry’s are powerful and show respect.

    Business, be early, demonstrate preparedness.

Socially on neutral territory, restaurant etc – be punctual.

  2. I agree. But those insecure guests at social occasion, they arrive 1 or 2 hours late, so they can pretend they have better things to do than attend your social occasion. So you don't invite them on the next social occasion and they complain.

  3. So turns out the people who arrive late to Iraqi weddings are not operating on Iraqi time. Impossible.

  4. Goyard always has the appearance of cheapness, in my opinion. I’m not sure if it’s the straps or overall material.. perhaps brand print. Or maybe it’s not Goyard at all. 💡 Night!

  5. For business you should aim to be at the venue at least 15 minutes before hand so that you have time if parking is difficult or there is a mix up getting through security. Then arrive at the meeting itself 5 minutes early.

  6. Next time I'm at a social dinner, I am going to subtract $10 to $15 from my bill and see if it matters there either.

  7. I’ve been chained to a radiator in a cellar for the last 35 years so this is no use to me

  8. It might be a cultural thing but i was always taught 15 minutes early for business and 30 minutes late for social

  9. I see a lot of people claiming on time or nothing, maybe it depends on occasion, but where I am it has always been late to the stated time to the social event. It could be a regional discrepancy. If I'm on time for a social event it's not unwelcome, but everyone appreciates that everyone is late so if they have trouble on the way they're comfortable still coming. I tend to agree with him on this subject personally.

  10. I hate people being late. I know some people will appreciate extra 10-15min of time to prepare, but siruisly… Be on time or text the host that you will be late.

  11. I like this Brit, but it's folks like him, is why we threw that tea in the harbour some 200 odd years ago

  12. 5 minutes before, full stop. Everyone deserves the respect of you turning up on time

    Edit
I get there 5 mins early, but I'll wait and arrive perfectly on time. And if the host is not ready then it's not my fault
