I love watching you, no matter which mask you're making. Since i enjoy hand piecing for quilts, maybe this is what would be best for me to making face masks. should the elastic break, new elastic can be pulled through or a cord/shoelace/a long fabric tie that goes around the neck and is tied behind the head. your method is perfect. you're a gem. i appreciate you and your sharing. I thought pleats on outside mask had to face down . . . so things couldn't collect in the pleats??
