  1. So truth ???? I will use all my knives instead of protecting them from dust… no let’s use the cheapest ???? and keep buying the grails to admire them

  2. Oh. My. Gosh. Dave. I am the girlfriend of a knife-obsessed collector and you nailed this. Hilarious!!!

  3. I just buy one every once in a while, keep track of them, love them, actually use them daily for a plethora of general contractor things. I got my carry knives and my work knives. My work knife doubles as a carry on a work day and if I go out after work I shower clean and swap to a strictly carry knife. I like all steel. I would probably ever only buy one knife in my life over 300 dollars and I ain’t seen it yet. Probably a guardian tactical or some fancy otf. Def not a microtech though. I do my own thing. Also unpopular opinion… Swiss Army knives are useless. I’ve contemplated a leather man crunch before because I was so excited but useless.???? no one probably going to read this????

  4. Completely unrealistic, I've never seen a Swiss Army knife that still had the toothpick 11 seconds after purchase.

  5. Ain’t that the truth. I’ve made my circle of fancy steels and knives and I’m back to my old case trapper

  6. I spent the last 15 years geeking out about craft beer, so much so that I now have a 13 year career in beer and alcohol sales. The progression there is EXACTLY the same. Back to light lager styles and I don't give a damn how many desserts you melted in your stout or how much your IP theft bottle trades for on the secondary market. I'm about 3-4 years fully pilled into knife hobby stuff, but I feel like I've matured at double the rate because I recognize all the same hype, snobbery, and BS more easily.

  7. Yes, I can envision myself opening a pack of Raman noodles with an expensive knife…..and feeling that life is still good!

  8. I'm on about year 7. I don't think I'll go back to the SwissArmy, but I've kinda peaked with a couple Hinderers, Spydercos, Benchmade and a few others for a total of 13 knives.

  9. You forgot at the 5 year mark not being able to decide which knife to use to open the ramen

  10. Lol I remember when I first started. Saw prices for CRK and was like “what idiot would buy this basic ass knife” now I own three ????

  11. You hit the nail right on the head!!! So true!!!???? I am the “I wish I wasn’t so broke all the time” stage.???? Always justifying my more expensive knife purchases by cutting open budget food!!!???????????? Thank you for the great video!!!????????????
