Frosted ‘candy’ ring: From too tight to just right

Sabrina snagged this frosted citrine ring – 18k yellow gold consignment ring from SoHo. I sized it up, laser filled an old engraving, and polished it to a candy-sweet glimmer. From a too-small relic to a just right dazzler, it glows beautifully in the sunlight.

Many people ask me about my lighter collection. I get most of my vintage lighters from eBay and new ones from www.ThorensLighter.com ⬅️ This is not an affiliate link and they do not pay me to use their lighters. I just find them to be really cool, well made, and reasonably affordable.

I’ve had two rings resized one bigger one smaller the one I had made smaller the diamonds fell out afterwards

I wouldn’t have the heart to destroy the engraving. It adds to the history of the piece

    This is Citrine.
It's a kinda matte looking jewel
    And it's not edible.
But don't you think it oughta be?
It's a type of rock derivative Quartz.
Meaning it is very hard and not that good for eating.

    But even so…

    ME WANT BITE
    ME WANT HONEY FILLED DELIGHT
    ME WANT TEETH STUCK
    ME THINK GUMMY JEWELRY NICE

These processes are so cool that I never know if they’re needed or just theatrical flourishes, that’s not a diss, it’s saying that it’s so interesting that I forget it’s a real life repair job and not a fictional wizard movie
