Fusing her rings to become his forever pendant

Romeo lost his wife a while ago, and her wedding and engagement rings were the most prized possessions he still had of hers. Tired of having them gathering dust in a drawer, he wanted them fused into a rugged pendant for his Cuban chain. Something to carry her memory with him every day. I annealed the wedding band and bent it into an oval shape to act as a bail to fit over his large chain, then I soldered a bezel at the bottom and set her engagement ring’s diamond into it. He didn’t want it polished when done so I kept every scratch she left behind. Now it’s not just jewelry, it’s his unbreakable link to his beloved wife.

I made my husband promise to get me a ring that was not expensive, now i work at a jewlery shop and am glad if i go first my sterling silver ring will be easy and not costly for him to do with as he wishes. I am always moved by people holding on to their rings and modifying them for everyday wear to hold their beloved close
