  1. I dunno if it is worth saving a few dollars and risking an explosion if you do this wrong. Best just to hire a pro for installation who knows how to work with gas.

  2. And my local hvac company wanted $1500 plus just for for installation. This is maybe a 2-3 hour job max that
Can be done with basic tools. That's not including the heater btw.

  3. Just a thought …. please add links in the description for the tools etc used in the video.

  4. Just curious if mortgage company requires a gas heater to be installed by a certified plumber to ensure it’s up to code. Seems like it would be a requirement

  5. How did you Set it on the drain pan without smashing it ? You make it look too easy!

  6. It seems my water pumps out faster when i cut the cold water on is that a problem?

  7. DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS: especially with the braided hose. THEY will eventually leak and flood your basement. Use COPPER LINES!!!

  8. It would have been great if all the tool used were listed on your webpage. For example, the exact deburring, copper pipe cutter, air pressure tool and the air pressure gauge tool at 1:37.

  9. Quick question – those plastic liner in water connection nipples on top aren't removed ? Just leave them right ? Right in the middle of doing one right now. I've done one before but forgot to leave them in. I think I'm supposed to leave them in.

  10. Not sure if anyone will see this in time but I had a plumber come over to take a look and we don't want to spend 1.4k on an installation so we're doing it ourselves. The plumber wrote out a list of what we need, and in that list there was a 3/4 '' brass nipple 4'' and i have no idea what that is for…
also what do we do if the yellow pipe for gas isn't coming off…?
