How to DIY Drywall a Room Like a Pro Masterclass LIVE from my new project tomorrow at 1pm EST. It’ll be available for replay if you can’t make it live. Cheers
Dyson is dead. We all use DeWalt hair dryer now.
So are you gonna keep just making this video over and over? Because I've seen you do this exact same repair before, with the paper tape, push it in a little, etc.
This is just getting ridiculous now
Ma is gonna be tiiiiicked
As a building contractor, drywall repairman, and husband, my wife would kill me seven ways from Sunday.
Love you, Homie🙏 however I did notice used a big rectangle thing with a handle instead of the 4 inch knife…
Not sure if that’s the reason my entire house is covered in white dust after I hit it for an hour with my palm sander ?
So this person who owns a hawk and a 14 inch finishing trowel, and a 5 or 6 inch knife, is dumb enough to put salt into a 45 minute mix and mix it with a mixer in a bowl and I think that a hairdryer is gonna speed up the process. OK.
You also can pin a poster to cover the hole.
"Tap water is fine too" … Wait you second… You mean you use MINERAL water that's made for drinking for your mud…?! Please stop. This is a massive waste while some places don't even have water at all let alone drinkable water.
❤❤❤❤
He's the lovechild of Bob Villa and Martha Stewart, but he has Martha's knowledge of construction and Bob's cookware.
I can't lie that was an amazing video. My only hiccup to that is, if you look down the wall you can see the patch because there's a huge wave in in the wall and if you know where it is you can see it as well, or if you're maybe looking for it I should say.
German homeowners: 😅
So I stop mixing when I see stiff peaks in the compound. Got it.
The real trick is doing that on orange peel
"Let's speed up the drying time by using a hairdryer." I had no idea DeWalt made hairdryers.
Wouldn’t the brown paper make the mud bubble up?
the landlord special
If you know how to bake, you know how to fix your walls. 🎉
Add a pinch of baking powder and you can make bread with any leftover 👍🏽
Baking a cake 🎂
Can you do that again but do it on heavily textured walls, where your knife can’t glide smoothly outside the hole. Patching is always way harder on textured walls and requires a lot of sanding your patch down and multiple layers of mud. Curious to see how a professional does it
Other than using Certainteed instead of CGC, you give a solid basics for someone w zero skill, and that is awesome. I love your content! Even if I differ slightly on a few minor things. ❤❤
Better yet just buy mud premade
Salt also hardened my arteries! SO IT DOES work lol
Don't do that. Do it right or hire someone. A whole that big shouldn't be fixed that way. After he's done and all that is dry, it will be super cracked and will able to push the "patch" through the wall. No strength at all if you do that. Buy a metal patch and mud.
Was wondering why my last cake tasted a little wonky…..
