That's not how you make it. Sticky rice is made with Thai sweet rice, you soak and then steam it. You bought sushi rice which is labeled as sticky ride because it is sticky but it's not the right kind.

That rice specifically state's on their directions that you need to soak that rixe for a good 15mins(meaning no stove is to be turned on nor is this water meant to be thrown out) andyou use far less water then you think.
I have this bag of rice its very clear specfic directions so the rice can come out perfectly sticky πππ»π

This is one of my favorite deserts. When I made this I discovered youβre supposed to use sweet sticky rice, which you can find at any Asian grocery store/market. But Iβm sure the regular sticky rice worked just as well! I think the sweet rice is just a bit finer and it needs to soak first.
You used the perfect mango for it too!!! Yellow mangos are where itβs at. I even have trouble finding vendors in my city that use that over the red ones! I really love that youβre always so adventurous with your recipes.
