    Do not confuse these with horse. Chestnuts, which are poisonous and found in the United States and many other places. You need to be sure that it's an edible variety

    Where I grew up in China, there were many chestnuts trees, nowadays the mountains are pretty much replaced by apartment buildings now sad

    We have these in the uk. They are everywhere, but ones from Greenwich Park are meant to bring you luck when eaten, i use to work across the road from the park and vist daily to get my lunch from the town center, i use to enjoy watching the Chinese beat the 7 shades out of each other for them.

    Are they native only to China? I’ve seen them in Europe where they were a staple food in the ancient Roman’s empire.

    Chestnut and mushroom soup,soooo yummy!!! Chestnut bread, chestnut caramel and chocolate bar, chestnut roasted over coal, roasted chestnuts with bacon dust and garlic etc etc etc.
