  1. Pro tip from a window guy: when you nail your builders window on; the window will settle with the wall. If the walls end up getting bricked they will brick up directly up against the window.
    So now when your walls settle it crushed the window into the brick and now you have to buy a new window cause that window can’t be fixed

    “Brickers” you need to leave enough room to let the window settle with the wall

  2. Been a glaziers apprentice for about 6 months now but we only do commercial. It’s cool to see what I would be working on if I ever got into residential! Looks a hell of a lot less stressful. Half the walls, ceilings and floors we work on are out of level and we gotta work through it to make it look good. I imagine residential is much more refined.

  3. What's up w windows being built bigger and lower? All it takes is a brick and your million dollar security system is useless.
