  6. For a Lowe's video I am surprised to see that the raw ends of the deck boards were left showing like that. And that could be serious trouble starting from the house. What do you do when the final board at the end of the deck is 3/4 of an inch.??

  12. Good video…thanks! I saw you added angle brackets for rims and end joists corner. Did you remove those angle brackets when you installed corner posts? The video for corner posts installation looks no angle bracket.

  16. Before you even consider using a composite (garbage, glue, and sawdust) material like Trex get the manufacturer's pamphlet. Read every word on every page. It shouldn't take but about an hour. When you're finished if you're still inclined to use composite material I suggest you first go see a psychiatrist.

  18. I don't agree with starting from the house but reverse. You should start from the end of the deck toward the house. Use Protect tac tape waterproof and cover joists and use behind ledger board.
