  1. This was so helpful. I don't have much experience with caulk, and every time I tried to work with caulk, I'd end up making a huge mess. There'd be white residue all over the place.

I tried asking my husband for advice, because he'd handled a lot of caulk over the years. He says he didn't trust a woman to know how to work with caulk the way a man could, so he wasn't much help. But one thing he did tell me was how important the cutting of the tip was. Apparently, he's seen a lot of caulking sessions go poorly because someone's tip was poorly cut, or even dirty. He said a lot of guys don't understand how crucial it is to keep the tip clean, and that if you're not careful, grime can get stuck in the caulk.

I was glad I found this video, because I was starting to wonder if I, as a woman, could ever fully grasp caulk as a concept. It always just seemed too hard. But hearing you explain it has definitely improved my technique. After seeing my new skills, my husband told me that he might even let me use his caulk every now and again! It'll be nice getting to try it myself, because normally, he only lets his friends mess around with his caulk.

  2. I can’t seem to figure it out could someone please show me their caulk I’m a hands on learner btw

  3. I have seen people apply caulk with no tape and no smoothing tools, just their finger. I was hoping this video would cover that.

  4. basically if theres a hole in the wall, you fix it by jamming some caulk in it, and squirting white stuff in it
