You're using STEEL wool on plastic.

The scrubby side of a dish sponge is ScotchBrite: basically sandpaper.
Steel wool is meant for scrubbing steel pots.
On your NEXT food processor, use a dish brush. That has nylon bristles. They don't damage your machine.
