How To Get A Higher Salary 101

advicewitherin.com/salary

🔬 According to Forbes, people who negotiate their salary (especially their first job!) make significantly more money throughout their lives.

🇺🇸 In the U.S., negotiating your salary is common etiquette! Companies expect you to counter the first offer.

The first offer is rarely their best offer. If it is, they’ll usually tell you that.

Yet, 55% of candidates don’t negotiate. 😭

BUT, out of those who do? 85% get some or ALL of what they asked for. 🤑

🤷🏼‍♀️ Negotiating doesn’t have to be confrontational, awkward, or uncomfortable. If you use the right words, tone, and approach, you’ll have the company saying “you’ve got a deal!” in no time.

🫶🏼 I’m SUPER passionate about helping people advocate for themselves and make more money.

📝 That’s why I wrote a complete salary negotiation guide and sell it for $49.99!

I don't live in the US but your videos have helped me get a job. I don't even want it and I will be looking for another asap but I have got a salary and I can move there now which was the actual goal so, thank you!

Learning the stupid and unnecessary smoke and mirros dance that is job seeking is way more work than… actual work.

Especially the interview part where both parties know that the other one is lying. "This place is so great I'd work here even if I won he lottery!!" and "I'm SO EXITED to work here I've always wanted to work with sand bag delivery logistics in a cubicle in a concrete box with almost no windows 40 minutes from my home".

That look of despair was so real. "Did I just blow it? Will they hate me? They're going to think I'm awful. I'll get blacklisted from every comp– Oh, they said okay?"

Even if you have zero leverage (meaning you're unemployed right now), still try to counter their offer. They obviously want you to work there…and if it gets you another 10-20% or more…well bonus!! If you don't ask/negotiate, the answer is NO, you aren't getting more money. So negotiate like when buying a car. LOL

weren't you the one that toldus about each State having a max and min offer, and that's like legal?-you can> ask. you can ask them facetoface-or check the lagality of said job in the stated-what is paid for whatjob.-i can offer you 99centsifyou-post a carrotcakefalvor i just watched. i mean, anyone Cpuld do it-what will it tastelike-not like carrot.

In my country, they lowball to about a tenth of the actual pay, so you're expected to ask for 20x what they offer and they'll meat you in the middle
