@1:45 I have that situation small corner lower kitchen cabinet section that’s really driving me crazy because trying to measure the thickness of a shim that’s basically behind the cabinet when it’s against the wall is something I haven’t perfected yet
On the back of the cabinets you should use cabinetry screws , not sheetrock screws, because the tapered head of the sheetrock screws can crack the back panel …

If you don’t wanna blow out the insides of your cabinets mark and drill from the inside.
I'd caution against using 3inch screws for cabinets.
Unless you know where your electrical and plumbing is in the wall you are taking a chance.
1 1/4 front of stud to edge of hole for electrical and plumbing. 1/2 or 5/8 drywall plus cabinet back thickness. I'd use 2 1/2 max.
