  1. Delete this video. I’m never going to be able to get trimmings from the butcher again.

  2. Didn't think it would take a 20min video to say "cook the fat". Great channel i just think it's funny!

  3. Love this!! I just processed over a gallon of tallow from my latest steer butcher. Crock-Pot works great, also I have found that nut 'milk' strainer bags work good for filtering at home. Use it for cooking, and making a balm that is the only thing that helped with my daughter's eczema. Amazing ingredient to utilize.

  4. Beef Dripping here in England. Back in the day every Fish and Chip shop would have used it to deep fry the goods but it all went vegetable oil a long time ago when the Elf and Safety brigade got round to it. We can still buy it in stores though in 250 gram (9 oz) blocks, similar to butter, which is what I do for the 'chip pan'. Of course it's more than doubled in price over the last three years. Last I looked it was about £1.25 (1.50 USD) for a 9 oz block. In 2020 it was only 65 pence for the same – about 80 cents.

  5. Spent my youth working in a rendering plant. All inedible for human consumption, most of our tallow went for pet food. Great video

  6. McD’s fries definitely ain’t what they were back in the day. Used to be hands down best out there in the fast food chains.

  7. Watching this from the High Tatras in Slovakia. When I get home (ironically, I live 40 minutes north of your store), I will be rendering my suet. Timely video.

  8. I literally just started to get my local butcher to keep it so i can render it down for frying oil.

  9. As always, very informative video … I use tallow for my skin and making food, it's really good!

  10. Thanks for doing this. Too many people never made tallow. Its the best for pie crust ( shame if you use crisco hydrogenated slime) and frying taters. ????????

  11. Suet and Ox Kidney, two of the ingredients for that well known UK dish steak and kidney pudding. Look it up and give it a try.

  12. What do y’all do with the leftover chicharrón? Do you guys eat it? It would be great in a taco.
