  1. Do you bring water to a boil first , and then continue to boil. I love how no one answers any questions .

  2. This actually worked really well and I didn’t have to boil my potatoes much longer than when I cut them first. I don’t generally peel my potatoes for a mash because the skin has the most nutrition but hubby is sick so he get them his way haha. Thanks!

  3. How long do you cook those potatoes? Mine did not peel as easy as yours. I'm wondering if I did not cook the Russets long enough?

  4. DO NOT PEEL (unless you are going for a fancy and refined dish) !!! the peels of all fruits or vegetables contain important nutrients that should not be wasted. additionally, even the remaining soil on the plant contains all kinds of antioxidants – farmers in medieval Ireland had stronger bones than the modern day human, which was proven to be directly related to not thoroughly scrubbing the dirt off of potatoes. This is all of course, assuming you are purchasing from smaller scale farms that don’t use carcinogenic pesticides/herbicides/fertilizer/food coloring/waxes. even many organic brands still make use of these chemicals^ – they can still qualify as “organic” because they are LESS carcinogenic than other non-“organic” chemicals. I am happy to answer any questions people have 🙂

  5. Seems to me it would take twice as long to cook potatoes whole just to avoid using a peeler or knife. Would be ok if you had arthritis though.

  6. Awesome hack!!! ????????????????????????
Thanks for making your videos ????????❤️????????❤️????????

  7. Don't tell anyone in the Navy. They'll be so mad (if) they were made to do it the other way; it'll ruin their week.

  8. For a better peeling u should cut the potato layer from the middle in a circular round way before u boil them

  9. She said that the potatoes were, "boiled", and "done"; so, that means they were boiled to the doneness desired for her mashed potatoes. Did you notice how deftly and (apparently) gently she handled the potatoes?

  10. Thank you ???????? this video gave me exactly what I was looking for and it was straight to the point.
